SSS Re-arrests Escaped Boko Haram Suspect Kabiru Sokoto.

The State Security Service has re-arrested the
major suspect of the Christmas Day bombing
in Niger State, Kabir Sokoto.
Sources in The Presidency, Abuja told The
Eagle Online that Sokoto was apprehended
this morning by officers of the SSS.
Sokoto, who escaped from the custody of
the police after his initial arrest, is believed
to be the mastermind of the bombing of St.
Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State.
He was arrested at the Borno State
Government House in Abuja.
However, the police team in charge of his
investigation said he escaped when some
armed youths attacked them in the process
of searching his house.
The development cost the then Inspector
General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, his job.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of the
Force Criminal Investigation Department,
Zakari Biu, was also dismissed and is to be
prosecuted.
Biu and Sokoto are from the same village,
Biu, in Borno State.
